Such a paradox
So, I've pretty much spent the past two days working on my website. I'm glad I'm somewhat computer literate, because otherwise it would've taken me much longer to publish that thing. If you want to visit it, just go to www.katieanneparker.com I have some links and other pages on there, but I still have things I want to add to it. However, I have to take a break from that thing!
I got some furniture the other day from a friend. All of a sudden, after getting the furniture, I've realized how much time I have left here. I'll be here for another four to six weeks, but really, that's not that long. I'm kind of sad about leaving. But, I'm also really excited about getting to Pine Ridge. It's such a paradox. We talked about this kind of thing at MTI, which by the way, was amazing! Anyways, I still have a LOT of organizing and cleaning and packing to do. It's almost overwhelming, but I know that I can get through everything. I also have a lot of other things to do, like find more needed furniture, buy things for the house, make my ministry plan, write thank you notes and other small things.
I went to the Well last night, which was interesting. First of all, the electricity was out, so we had to move downstairs because it was so hot upstairs. And I got there early to help set-up, but I then I started thinking that maybe I shouldn't be there to help since I'm leaving soon. I don't know, it was just a weird feeling to know that this was one of my last times at the Well before I leave. I'm going to miss everyone there. I know that I'm going to stay in contact with people, but it's just not the same. I can see that I'm really beginning to say good-bye. This won't be a fun process, but a much needed one.
